This scholarship applies to HLC Scholars renewing an existing undergraduate scholarship who are Saturday Academy alumni, currently in college, and who are in pursuit of careers as physicians, dentists, or research scientists.

HLC PRE-DENTAL MENTORING & RESEARCH PROGRAM
AWARD: 1 YEAR
This program is a collaboration between Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine, Health Legacy of Cleveland, Forest City Dental Society and the Student National Dental Association. It is designed to increase the pool of competitive Under Represented Minority Dental School Applicants from the greater Cleveland area by 3 students per year by 2016.

AWARD: 1 YEAR
This is a Health Legacy of Cleveland, Inc. program. MentorMatch will be an ongoing, rolling admission process. Career mentoring and experiences will be provided through a matching process enabling students to help select mentors throughout their careers and personal development. It is designed to increase the pool of competitive Under Represented Minority Applicants from the greater Cleveland area by 5 students per year by 2025.
High school and college students aspiring to be a physician or dentist will be matched with volunteer mentors for coaching, summer training, shadowing, assisting and mentoring experiences with practitioners in private practices and clinics.
